Safer Healthcare Now revises SSI guidelines

SHN now recommends normothermia be maintained throughout the perioperative course for all surgical patients! Pre-warming should be initiated between 30 minutes to 2 hours prior to major surgery and use of warmed “forced air” blankets when surgeries are expected to last longer than 30 minutes. Request your own Getting Started Kit for more information now.
